Mount Emei is one of four Buddhist mountains in Sichuan province.Monkeys there beg for food and stand in the way of tourists who are climbing steps up the mountain. In recently shot video, one monkey took a wad of Chinese money from a tourist and began to eat it.Park rangers got the tourist's money back by offering the monkey real food.

Pet Monkey Escapes, Bites Boy on Buttocks
Fri Sep 9, 6:55 PM ET (from AP)
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - A monkey, apparently a pet, escaped, then chased a 12-year-old boy into his house and bit him on the buttocks in the western Malaysian state of Pahang, a news report said Friday.
The monkey, which was believed to be a pet animal because there was a chain around its neck, ran up and down the street in the housing area in Kuantan town as it appeared just after dusk Wednesday, scaring people into their homes, the Bernama news agency reported.

My rant
I am not racist in the least. To me, people are people, regarless of skin tone, religious background, or lack of a cool mullet. But the shit I have seen on TV has pissed me off. I have yet to see any vid footage of a white person looting. Well, maybe a few, but those are the whiggers I dont think count. Yes, I know alot of the looting is, in my mind considering that some people need staples to live is acceptable. But, why the hell to you need an Xbox and a 42" plasma TV to help your family cope with the devistation when there is no power?? Tell me how you can justify that!
I have thought hard and long at this, and I am ready to go down south. I work at a gas station that is affected by Katrina as most in the south, and nation wide are. I ask this, should I ask to be transfered to a store in the hurricane/flood ravaged region that my company serves, or should I just sit back at my safe store and just deal with complaints on gas prices and such??
I am on the fence with this one. My wife is all for me going down there if I can secure monetary support for them while I am down there. I only have 3 requests if I need/want to go down to the Mississipppi/Louisiana region.
1. Transportation, or at least some assistance down there, cause my crappy 85 Chevy Celebrity is not gonna make it down there.
2. A place to sleep.
I dont care about air conditioning or any creature comferts like that. Just a place to lay my head and get some shut eye.
3. A promise that my wife and kid at home will be taken care of.
This is my 1st and foremost goal in my life, but I know that we are MUCH better off than those in the Gulf, but they are the reason I live and breath
I would appriciate any comments on what I have said, cause in effect, this could alter my life. I am all for doing what ever I can to help out with the worst thing that has ever happened, not just to America, but to the world.

This is just POINTLESS!!!
Ok, I work at a gas station, a BP no less, and I thought us going up 71 cents in a 24 hour period was bad, but this is bullshit. I am guessing this is one staion that is trying to prevent its gas outage and make some $$$ in the process. I know for a fact, that most places in the south are paying from $3 to $3.50 a gallon just to have the gas dropped in the tanks at the gas stations!!

Ohio Inmates Mistakenly Shown Porn Video
Fri Aug 26, 4:22 PM ET
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - A deputy warden at the Ross Correctional Institution was suspended for five days last month after he mistakenly showed inmates a sexually explicit television show.
Andrea Dean, spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, said Jeffrey Lisath meant to only record an HBO boxing match but unintentionally taped part of a program that followed it.
Lisath, 45, was suspended because he didn't first submit the tape to a screening committee that approves all home videos shown to inmates, Dean said.
Corrections Officer R.A. Adams wrote in an incident report that he was alerted to the movie by an inmate who asked him, "Why are they showing porn movies to all the rapists and child molesters in here?"
Dean said Lisath would not speak to reporters.
"He thought that he was just doing something for the inmates, giving them an opportunity to see the boxing match," she said. "It was something that was well-intentioned, but it turned into something bad."

Need Sleep? Mall Of America Sells Naps For 70 Cents A Minute
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Mall of America has a 74-foot Ferris wheel, a shark tank and a dinosaur museum. And now, if all that tires you out, a nap store will sell you some shuteye for 70 cents a minute. The new store will be called MinneNAPolis. It's just the thing for shoppers -- or their spouses -- who get worn out traversing the more than four miles of storefronts in the Minnesota mall. Founded by PowerNap Sleep Centers of Boca Raton, Fla., the new store will include at least three themed rooms: Asian Mist, Tropical Isle and Deep Space. Each will have walls thick enough to drown out the sounds of squealing children at the indoor amusement park. The fee of 70 cents per minute works out to $42 an hour. Some said it would be cheaper to buy an $8 movie ticket and spend two hours sleeping through a movie.
